The folks from Sheffield are visiting us again, this time to present their album "The Car," released in 2022. Arctic Monkeys have been filling stadiums and headlining festivals for years. In fact, they are visiting Madrid after performing at a packed BBK just a few days ago. "The Car" is the seventh studio album by the British band led by Alex Turner, and you'll find great tracks like "I Ain't Quite Where I Think I Am" and "Body Paint." Due to high demand, the band will be performing twice: on Monday, July 10th, and Tuesday, July 11th. Both concerts will take place at the WiZink Center in Madrid.
How to get to the WiZink Center for the Arctic Monkeys concert in 2023
Reopened in 2005, the Palacio de Deportes de la Comunidad de Madrid, now known as the WiZink Center, hosts a wide range of events, from sports to massive concerts like the Arctic Monkeys'. Located in the Goya neighborhood, surrounded by the Goya and O'Donnell metro stations, the WiZink Center is in the heart of the city. The Arctic Monkeys concert starts at 9:00 PM on both days (Monday, July 10th, and Tuesday, July 11th), but the venue doors open at 6:30 PM. If you're a true fan and have a standing ticket, we recommend arriving early to secure the best spot. Be prepared for long queues to enter the venue.
If you're taking public transportation to the concert, you can easily reach the WiZink Center by metro. Get off at the Goya or O'Donnell stations. Goya is served by lines 2 and 4, while O'Donnell is on line 6.
If you prefer to take the bus, the following lines will drop you off near the venue: 30, C1, 43, 53, 146, 21, 26, 61, C2, 215, 15, 63, and 29.
To reach the WiZink Center by car, whether you're coming from the north or the south, the best option is to take Doctor Esquerdo Street and then turn onto Goya Street. Once you're there, you'll need to find parking. The Goya neighborhood is quite busy, so it may take some time to find parking. Fortunately, you can use Parkimeter to search for parking in the area and reserve as much time as you need.
Parking at a garage to see the Arctic Monkeys at the WiZink Center in 2023
You can park at the WiZink Center's own parking garage, which costs around 3.5 euros per hour. However, we don't recommend it for large events, as it's likely to be full. Another option is to directly reserve your parking space for the desired duration in a garage near the venue. The closest options are Garaje Allas or Alcalá 108. Nevertheless, there are plenty of parking garages in the area to choose from. We recommend reserving in advance. Parking in a garage is the safest and most convenient way to park your vehicle, as the majority of garages have security systems and facilities accessible to people with reduced mobility. Remember that the WiZink Center also has accessible entrances, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the event.

Street parking to see the Arctic Monkeys at the WiZink Center in 2023
If you decide to park on the street in Madrid, keep in mind that the city has regulated parking zones, so you need to be aware of the schedules for the blue and green zones. These zones are payable from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Sundays are free).
Outside of those hours, parking is free. However, considering that the Arctic Monkeys concert takes place on Monday and Tuesday at 9:00 PM (doors open at 6:30 PM), you won't be able to take advantage of the free parking and will have to pay the corresponding fee.
Note that in order to drive and park in Madrid, your car needs the ECO label. You can find more information here.
Another option is to leave your car in free parking areas further away and use public transportation to get to the WiZink Center. Here's a list of areas where you can park for free (remember that you'll need to take public transportation afterward, as these areas are located far from the venue):
- Marqués de Vadillo
- Sur del Manzanares area
- Alto de Extremadura area
- Usera neighbourhood
- Moratalaz neighbourhood
- Alcalá Street (near Metro El Carmen)
- Chamartín station area (above the M-30)
Now that you have all the information you need to reach the venue and enjoy the concert, it's time to review their discography and sing along to all their songs. Enjoy the event without worrying about your car!
