This August the Feria de Málaga, one of the biggest celebrations in Andalusia, returns. The big event is held annually in Málaga (Andalusia), located in the south of Spain. Thousands and thousands of people come every year to discover the great culture and most emblematic traditions of the Andalusian city. This 2022, the fair will start on the 12th of August at 00:00 with a great fireworks display (i.e. the 13th of August) and will end on the 20th of August 2022.
For those who don't know, the Feria de Málaga, or also known as Feria de Agosto, has its history. This fair has been held annually since 1487, which was when the Catholic Monarchs took the city of Málaga, incorporating it into the Crown of Castile. Every 19th August this great event is remembered and commemorated; in the 17th century rockets were already being fired and fireworks displays were held, a tradition that still continues today.

Where to park near the Feria de Málaga this 2022
Street parking in Málaga
The Feria de Málaga is held in two different locations: in the historic city centre area and in the outskirts of the city, in the Cortijo de Torres area.
Parking in the central area will be practically impossible for several reasons: the Town Hall in Málaga encourages the use of public transport and, for this reason, many streets are closed off, making it difficult for vehicles to circulate. In addition, the streets are also cut off so that there is more space for the attendees to celebrate the big event. And finally, in the historic centre of Malaga many of the streets are already pedestrianised, so parking your car there will not be an option.
On the other hand, in the Cortijo de Torres area, you are more likely to find parking spaces at street level because you are being on the outskirts of the city centre. In the area surrounding the auditorium you will find free parking spaces where you can leave your car. However, keep in mind that the Cortijo de Torres area is where the Feria de Noche is held, and where the main activity of the event takes place; therefore, many people will come with their vehicles and this will reduce your chances of finding parking close to the venue.

Parking near the Feria de Málaga
Taking into account the thousands of people who come to the Feria de Málaga, the few parking spaces available and the residents who park their cars in the area, the best option is to park the car far away from the city centre and the Auditorio Municipal Cortijo de Torres, and walk to the Feria de Día or the Feria de Noche, or use an alternative method of transport to get there.
If you don't want to waste time looking for a parking space in the city, book your parking space in advance with Parkimeter and don't worry. You will be able to compare the car parks and their prices, see how far they are from your final destination and book in advance for the days of your stay in Málaga. How to get to the Feria de Málaga
The Feria de Málaga is divided into two parts: the Day Fair and the Night Fair. Both have different locations, which is why the methods of transport are different depending on the final destination: one is held in the centre of Malaga and the other in Cortijo de Torres.
The most convenient method of transport is by car, as you travel on your own schedule without having to share space with large numbers of people. However, this method of transport has its disadvantages, as, due to the large amount of people that accumulate for the celebration, many of the streets are closed and you will not have access.
For the Málaga Night Fair, EMT Malaga will provide three special buses in addition to the usual lines: 201, 202 and 205.
- - Bus 201: Line 1 Feria
- - Bus 202: Ciudad Jardín - Feria
- - Bus 205: Ciudad Jardín - Feria
And for the Málaga Day Fair, the EMT bus lines are one of the best options for getting around the city centre during the Fair, as most of the lines pass through the centre of Malaga and connect with different parts of the city. The lines that stop closest to the bullring are: 3, 11, 16, 32, 33, 34, 35 and the N1 (night bus).
There are different bus tickets, each with their respective prices. The fares for bus tickets in Málaga are as follows:

800 metres from the Cortijo de Torres fairgrounds, where the Night Fair is held, you will find the Victoria Kent Station, a RENFE local train station. The C-1 and C-2 lines pass through here with services to María Zambrano and Málaga Centro-Alameda; as well as to Málaga Airport and the towns of Torremolinos, Fuengirola and Benalmádena among others.
The taxi is a very comfortable option, but it will have a higher price than many other options. The taxi in Málaga is white with a blue stripe, as always, it is easily distinguishable by its luminous sign on the top of the vehicle.
Taxi fares are different depending on the time of day you request the service, the time of the journey, whether the journey is urban or intercity and the distance of the journey in km among other things:

What to do at the Feria de Málaga 2022
In Málaga there are two fairs, the day fair and the night fair, which can be combined on the same day or, on the contrary, you can attend on separate days or simply attend only one of the two options. Below, we will explain what each of the fairs consists of.
The Day Fair is held in the city centre of Málaga, where the streets are decorated with flowers and also in the fairgrounds of Cortijo de Torres, where several stalls usually offer free paella from 1pm to 3pm for lunch. On both sides you will find a pleasant atmosphere with music and people dancing in the streets.
There are several places to visit in the city centre during the fair. The main street is Calle Larios, although there are many other places worth visiting: Plaza de la Constitución, Plaza del Obispo, Plaza Uncibay, Calle Granada, Calle Comedias and Calle Alcazabilla.
The Night Fair is where all the main activity of the Feria de Málaga is concentrated. The site has two different entrances: one from Avenida Ortega y Gasset and the other from Camino de San Rafael.
In the Cortijo de Torres area you will find the typical fairground stalls, as well as rides, booths and bars, among many other things. The fun part of visiting the Feria de Noche is going from stall to stall to see what they have to offer; there are many that only offer food and drink and others that are dance floors, classic bars or cocktail bars. The music and party atmosphere always accompanies.
In addition to the casetas and attractions, the Cortijo de Torres area is where concerts by different artists are held every day.
