Vila Olímpica is a neighbourhood in the [Sant Martí] district (https://parkimeter.com/es/parking-barcelona/cerca-de-san-marti). It belonged to the Poble Nou, which was renovated and converted into a sports residence for the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. It borders the district of Ciutat Vella and the districts of Poble Nou and Parc i la Llacuna del Poblenou.
This is Barcelona’s first maritime district, with a marina, promenade and a spectacular range of bars and restaurants. It was built with two objectives in mind: to modernize the urban area and meet the hosting needs of the Olympic Games.
