Avenida dos Aliados is the main avenue of the city of Porto, commonly called Aliados only.
It is in the parish of Santo Ildefonso, in the historic downtown area of the city.
At the beginning of the Avenue you will find the Porto City Hall, the Monument to Almeida Garret, the Praça do Município and the Praça do General Humberto Delgado. At the end of Aliados Avenue you will find the Monument to D. Pedro IV, Praça da Liberdade and Palácio das Cardosas.
The Aliados is the place that hosts all the main festivities of the city, being them municipal, academic or sportive.
To get to know the Avenue you will have to walk along it and also take the opportunity to get to know the streets around it. You have great restaurants close by.
Also, only a 3 minute walk away is Trindade and São Bento station.
