The International Airport Where To Park In Málaga - Costa del Sol is the airport dedicated to the city of Málaga - Costa del Sol. It is identifiable through the International Air Transport Association (IATA) code AGP and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) code: LEMG. It is the fourth largest airport in Spain and the main one in the Andalusia region and the Costa del Sol. It is 8 km from Málaga - Costa del Sol and 5 km from Torremolinos. It is connected to more than 60 countries and receives over 10 million passengers annually. The airport is owned by ENAIRE (formerly called AENA) which owns and manages most Spanish airports.

How To Get To The Airport?

To access the airport, you have several options. You can choose to use public transport thanks to its direct train connection to the Málaga - Costa del Sol city centre in 12 minutes and a train that departs every 20 minutes, and a bus station that allows arrival or departure from the airport for both short and long distances. You can also decide to go by car as the airport offers two main car parks with a total of 3700 spaces.

Taxi

You can also opt to take a taxi to get to or leave the place. The journey generally takes 20 minutes to get to the Málaga - Costa del Sol city centre. You can easily recognize official taxis by their white colour with a blue stripe on the side. Taxis have two different rates that vary depending on the day and time you need to book a taxi. The rates are as follows

Between 06:00 and 22:00 on weekdays

  • Minimum fare: 1.49 euros
  • Price/km: 0.86 euros
  • Waiting time: 19.37 euros
  • Minimum service at the airport: 17.00 euros.

Between 22:00 and 06:00 on weekdays, Saturdays and holidays

Terminals

Málaga - Costa del Sol formerly had 2 terminals that separated Schengen flights from those linked outside Schengen. However, those two terminals are now closed as they have been replaced by a recently created third terminal that groups the whole airport. Types of airport parkings

Valet (Pickup at terminal)

The fastest and most comfortable way to park in the airport. The driver will be waiting for you at the scheduled time at the terminal. At your return, call the driver, who will deliver your car to you.

Shuttle

The cheapest option: free 5-15 minutes transfer to the terminal. A free shuttle will take you from the parking lot to the terminal and back upon your return.

Inside the airport

The official car park inside the airport facilities. It is normally at walking distance from the terminal, but cheaper long stay car parks sometimes require short transfers.
