Montrouge is a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, located less than 7 kilometers from the French capital. It is located in the heart of the Hauts-de-Seine department in the Île-de-France region in the Antony district. Montrouge is also part of the Greater Paris metropolis. Its proximity and good connection to Paris makes the town a very interesting option for parking.

The commune of Montrouge has two different types of parking zones that differ according to their location in the city. They are differentiated by the color assigned to them. Thus, there is a green and a red zone. The green zone has a total of 2760 spaces and is the most economical option for on-street parking in Montrouge. It is, from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 7pm, at a rate of 2€ per hour and offers 30 minutes free, on Sundays and holidays, it is completely free. The red zone, which is mainly located in the commercial areas of Montrouge, is more expensive. It has a total of 427 spaces at a rate of 4€ per hour. However, it also offers 20 minutes of free parking. The green zone is limited to 10 hours of parking while the red zone allows up to 2 hours of parking.

Getting around Montrouge.

Montrouge is very well connected to the French capital as it is directly linked to two lines of the Parisian subway. Indeed, Montrouge is the terminus of line 4 and 13 of the Paris metro. Moreover, it is also connected to the bus network of the Paris region through 12 different lines. The main road accesses of the city are two national roads, the RD 920 and RD 906.

Montrouge is a city in the southern suburbs of Paris, very close to the capital. It used to extend as far as Montparnasse in the north of Paris and invaded on the current 14th arrondissement of Paris. During the late 19th and 20th centuries, the city was a real muse of the French industrial boom, hosting, in particular, many printing houses that have now disappeared. It should also be noted that during the Second World War, Montrouge became a place of heroic resistance where many resistance fighters operated, notably at the SNCF depot.
